((No one else was, so I thought I'd start up a thread to get things going.))
It was his favorite kind of weather: just after the rainfall when everything was glistening with droplets, the sky was still blanketed with grey but instead of foreboding an oncoming storm it was of a peaceful nature, and everything was dead silent, unsure of whether or not it was safe to come out just yet.
Smiling to himself with this in mind, Sergei dared to venture out to the lake he knew was already barely populated when the weather was more fair, and laid down at the water's edge, allowing himself to relax as much as he could. There was still a nagging sensation in the back of his brain reminding him of all that could possibly happen while he was out there, but for now his logical side took over and gave him room to breathe a sigh of relief.
What wonderful weather.

It was dead silent. Nothing stirred. Nature seemed to be holding its breath, making sure that this was the last storm. It had been raining off and on for the last week.
What an uncomfortable week it had been. Reine's long silky coat was now mud stained and dripping. She had been soaked. And her aussie hair kept the moisture in, refusing to let it dry.
The temperature was fairly cool. Maybe it was a bit uncomfortable to those dogs that were sitting around and doing nothing. But not to Reine. She was out and about.
The coolness of the air felt good to her. Moisture still stuck in it, making it humid and hard to breath, but it still felt good to be moving. In fact, it felt PERFECT to keep moving. The temperature kept her body from overheating.
She wandered through the streets, occasionally encountering other dogs. For the most part though, it was a solitary exercise.
Though she passed through both Loki and Bane territory without a care, she ended up in her favorite place. The lake. Fish leapt about in the water, sometimes going to the surface and shattering the stillness and quiet with minor splashes.
It was absolutely nothing compared to the huge splash made when she jumped in. She did the dog equivalent of a dive, stretching her body out as fas as she could and meeting the water almost vertically.
She splashed about for awhile, swimming to and fro, watching the fish with playful eyes as they darted away, panicked. After about a half an hour she reluctantly slunk out of the water.
As she shook off her eyes caught on a figure. A canine figure. She wandered toward it, warily curious.
ooc- Sorry. This is nothing compared to the post I originally typed up, BUT my stupid computer felt as if it had to deleted my post. So you'll have to deal with this.

Sergei relished in the peace, allowing himself to close his eyes and possibly fall asleep under these conditions. But that darn nagging kept telling him that something had come to this lake before he did, so he opened an eye to indulge the feeling and debunk it. However, at the sight of a shape rapidly approaching he jumped, letting out a loud cry of surprise.
He leaped to his feet, trying to regain his composure enough to put one foot in front of the other to run away from the frightening thing that broke his peace, but all that ended up achieving was a bunch of tangled paws and a first-class ticket back to the muddy ground.

She skidded to a stop as she heard the loud cry. Her paws left long drag marks in the mud. She sighed and picked up again at a faster pace wondering if the dog was hurt.
Soon she had reached the canine. He appeared to be scrambling for control. Though he looked fine, so maybe his cry was one of surprise. There was a slight depression next to him as if he had been laying there.
She shifted her eyes to the dog himself. He was a bit bigger than her, muddy and lying in the ground. He had a nice build, looking strong and fast at the same time. Probably some form of Doberman.
He had a dark brown coat with little chestnut dots above his eyes and over his paws. But of course his coat was so muddy that it was hard to tell much. He appeared young, though probably a little older than she was.
Her tail started wagging hesitantly. As a loner she got to wander the streets and meet many dogs. But, to her sadness, many didn't click well with her, and she ended up making more enemies then friends.
Most dogs viewed her as an annoyingly outgoing puppy that was too fun loving for their taste. A small sad sigh escaped her lips and her tail slowed in momentum.
Would she ever find a friend?

Sergei spat out a few strands of muddy grass that found their way into his jaws on the impact, shaking his head to clear up the fuzziness in his vision. When all was clear, however, he was greeted with a sight he hadn't entirely expected: a smaller canine, longer coat soaked and muddy much like he was. (Though a bit moreso on the soaked factor.)
"GAH!" He jumped back up in shock, able to stand firmly on his own four feet this time. Though when he got a good look at her (She smelled like a her, anyway.) he relaxed a fraction. She didn't seem to be too harmful, but...one could never be entirely sure.
"He-hello." Sergei said in the most polite fashion he could manage.
